Meet the Founders

Founded by Brendan and Catherine Gillen, a husband-and-wife team. Brendan’s an ecommerce expert and a self-proclaimed coffee aficionado—though it wasn’t always that way. In fact, it was Catherine who first got him into coffee. She encouraged him to try the coffee she was making while working in a cafe, and it was the first coffee Brendan had ever drunk.

From that moment on, he was hooked. Catherine, with her advanced diploma in hospitality, has spent years perfecting her craft in cafes across Melbourne.

Together, we’ve launched Dosed, a pure coffee concentrate that solves a problem they both knew all too well: there was simply no quick and convenient way to enjoy cafe-quality coffee at home, at work, or on the go without resorting to subpar options like instant powders or flavorless pods.

Overcoming Challenges

Starting Dosed wasn’t without its hurdles. One of our biggest challenges was finding a manufacturer who could meet our exacting standards—ensuring every dose of Dosed produces the perfect cup, every time. It took persistence and a lot of taste tests, but the result is a product we’re incredibly proud of.
