What is liquid coffee concentrate?
Liquid coffee concentrate is pure coffee extracted directly from the bean, the same process a barista uses to pull an espresso, bottled so you can use it instantly at home. Unlike powdered instant coffee, it's never dehydrated or double-brewed, so the natural flavour and aroma are preserved.
What is Dosed?
Dosed is an Australian liquid instant coffee made in Melbourne. You add one 13ml dose to milk or water, hot or cold, and you have a cafe-quality coffee in about 30 seconds. No machine, no pods, no mess.
How many coffees can I make from one bottle?
One 200ml bottle makes 15 coffees using a 13ml dose per serve.
How is it different from powdered instant coffee?
Powdered instant is brewed twice and then dehydrated, which strips away a lot of the flavour and aroma. Dosed is extracted once and bottled fresh, so you get a much closer result to what comes out of a cafe espresso machine.
How is it different from pods?
Pods need a machine, create plastic waste, and can only make one type of coffee. Dosed needs nothing, just a cup, milk or water, and a spoon. You can make a flat white, iced latte, long black, or use it in cocktails and recipes.
Can I make it hot and cold?
Yes. Dosed works for both. For hot coffee, add it to hot water or steamed milk. For iced coffee, pour it over ice with cold milk or water. It's the same bottle either way.
What flavours are available?
Original Bean, Vanilla Bean, Caramel, and Decaf. You can buy individual bottles or a mixed pack to try all four.
Is the Decaf actually decaf?
Yes. The Dosed Decaf is made from decaffeinated beans and goes through the same extraction process as the regular range. Full coffee flavour, minus the caffeine.
Where is Dosed made?
Dosed is made in Melbourne, Australia, using ethically sourced beans.
Do I need any equipment?
No equipment at all. A cup and your choice of milk or water is all you need. A dosing jigger (available separately) helps you measure the perfect 13ml every time, but it is optional.
How should I store it, and what is the shelf life?
Keep the bottle sealed and store it in a cool, dark place. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 4 weeks. Unopened bottles have a shelf life of 12 months.
Is there sugar or additives in Dosed?
The Original Bean and Decaf contain just two ingredients: coffee and water. The Vanilla Bean and Caramel flavours contain a very small amount of natural flavouring (0.05g of sugar per serve in the Caramel).
How do I use Dosed to make a latte?
Measure 13ml of Dosed into your cup, add 150ml of steamed or cold milk, and stir. For a frothy finish, use a handheld frother before pouring the milk.
